Posthumous Degrees 2007

Although degrees have been awarded posthumously for years when a student had completed or nearly completed the requirements of the degree, the university made the decision in 2007 to award posthumous degrees to the 27 student victims of the April 16, 2007, shooting, several of whom were in their first year of studies. The number of degrees awarded exceeds the number of students because one of the students was a triple major and three other students were double majors. Degrees presented were as follows:

  • Bachelor of Arts-15
  • Bachelor of Science -8
  • Master of Science-7
  • Doctor of Philosophy-2
