Associate, Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral Degrees, 1977-Present*

These figures, compiled by Analytics and Institutional Effectiveness: Strategic Analysis, include summer through spring figures for each academic year. The first column indicates the number of associate degrees, first awarded in 1974 in Engineering Technology; program ended before 1988 (no figures available); Agricultural Technology started in 1987 with first graduates in 1989. The second column indicates the number of bachelors’ degrees (does not include double majors). The third column indicates the number of masters’ degrees and the fourth column indicates the number of Ph.Ds. The fifth column indicates number of doctor of education degrees (Ed.Ds), first awarded in 1973. The sixth column indicates the number of doctor of veterinary medicine degrees (DVMs), first awarded by the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984, although four related graduate degrees were given earlier. The seventh column indicates the number of Doctor of Medicine degrees (M.D.), first awarded by the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in 2019 the school became part of Virginia Tech as its ninth college on July 1, 2018.
